I like the contrast of lighting here. Highlighting the verdance and livelihood of the adjacent garden, but also the low level inner glow capturing the textures and depth of material. I was also drawn by the proportions of the low seating. It makes me want to drape myself on it half turned resting on the window sill. Comfortably voyeuristic.

Books.

Sometimes I feel that it would be so amazing to be physically surrounded by books. To be completely enveloped by their presence. Bound by their content. Defined by their collective meaning.

I pointed out the Los Angeles river to my son as we sped by on the freeway today. He looked and said "that's not a river, that's a dirty lake with mud"! I couldn't argue with him...
