lauhala monsterra

i really noticed how green and lush the plant life in hawaii is. there really is some very beautiful plant life on the islands that one needs to appreciate. everywhere. right in your backyard. so alive.

sacred craft. ventura

this is matt moore shaping a classic bradbury shape at the sacred craft expo a couple weekends ago. super so cool to see others shaving foam, ian zamora cranked out one of his classic quad fishes with the signature jet tail. super sweet. gerry lopez shaped on sunday but missed it. loads of great info to be had from the masters.

rafa do mar

rafa na lanikai!
o papa dele comencou assim nestas ondinhas como ele agora.
este puto nao quis sair da agua pa!

kaneohe

we just came back from a short trip home to oahu.
really beautiful and strangely calm conditions.
extreme low tides in the am. never seen kaneohe bay so drained out before. the sandbar was humungus and all the reefs exposed pre-tsunami-like. everyone reef walking, fishing, spearing..memories.

nalo

sometimes i really wonder why i ever wanted to leave home.
east side, clear and hot, kona winds...if there was only some NE swell, the eastside would be firing! pretty seldom that these conditions come together, but when they do, this side of the island can be utterly magical.
